Research Methods
My group investigates the associations between the biological clock and a spectrum of medical conditions. To establish these links my group uses a diverse range of approaches and samples including knockout models, in vitro culture methods, human volunteer studies and patient samples. Findings from our studies are normally combined with epidemiological databases e.g. UK biobank permitting the translational importance of these discoveries to be ascertained.
Humans; Mice or other rodents; Ex vivo system (other than SCN, derived from humans or other animals); Eukaryotic cells (including primary and transformed cell lines); Synthetic
Quantitative research; Translational/applied research; Clinical research/clinical trials; Laboratory research; In vivo studies or preclinical work with non-human animals; Ex vivo or postmortem studies; Molecular biology (including genetics and gene editing); Systems biology; Bioinformatics
