Research Methods
We investigate how circadian oscillators of Arabidopsis and wheat are (1) entrained by light and metabolism, (2) modulate signalling (3) optimise performance and (4) differ in structure. We measure rhythms using promoter:luciferase fusions, aequorin for calcium, bright field and infra red for leaf moments, prompt and delayed fluorescence for photosynthesis and temperature for stomata. We use genetics, RNA seq, protein-protein interaction and mathematical modelling to investigate relationships.
